I write for personal enjoyment about many topics, and I write professionally about personal development, entrepreneurship & freelancing, mental health, health & wellness, and education.

In my international travels, I usually go by my middle name:  Sean (which I write as “Shawn” to make the pronunciation easy for all my friends throughout the world).

My Expertise

International Education Specialist

We are in the ultra-interconnected post-Covid world.  Educators must be resilient, adaptable, and resourceful.  They must have very broad skill sets.  International educators, in addition, must love cultural challenges.

My specialty is bringing out the best abilities in people.  I have 26 years of experience in the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia as a program creator, curriculum developer, teacher, teacher trainer, manager, team coordinator, student counselor.

My unique advantage is that I have knowledge and experience in all 3 pillars of education:  academicsstudent services , and educational technology.  Whatever an institution needs to accomplish, I can help.

Book Writer
Article/Post Writer

I write posts/articles that attract readers by breaking down complex topics into clear content with unique angles.  I have written website content since the early days of the Internet.

Also, I have written 16 books — 6 business-English books for the Chinese-English bilingual market, and 10 corporate training books.  Three of the mass market books were best-sellers in their field.  You can read my LinkedIn post about these books.

Resume Writer

I help people write branded hyper-focused resumes that grab attention with their elegant professional appearance.  When I was an undergraduate, I began to study what companies look for in resumes.

For 33 years I have kept up to date with the changing expectations of companies and recruiters — personal branding statements, formats, required content elements, and focus on keywords.

Useful Personal Guides

Take a look at some of the guides I have created over the years.
All of my guides are on the Useful Guides page.

Photography is great fun.  This guide presents all the core concepts and practical understandings that any person requires to take great photos.  Very concise and easy-to-use reference guide.

Following the popular “food pyramid” is a good way to have sluggish health and be more susceptible to chronic illness.  This reference guide details what to eat and what not to eat — based on decades of peer-reviewed studies and analysis of objective medical doctors and researchers in a number of countries.

Only 1 friend. Poor me. Obviously, Facebook isn't my cup of Mountain Dew.

Facebook machine thing isn’t one of my life priorities, but I am glad to connect with friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.  I update my page now and then and check if my connections are doing anything interesting or exciting.
